I finally have some time to update the blog. We’ve been having a lot of fun playing and swimming at the beach and pool areas. Here’s what we’ve been up to. Friday, Aug 8th Morning: We took a walk around the Westin’s grounds. It’s on the northern side of Kaanapali past the main stretch of [...] We made it! We’re finally in Hawaii. Maui to be exact. We left SJC this morning at 9:00am, had a bit of a stopover in HNL, and landed in OGG around 1:00pm local Hawaiian time. We got our grocery shopping done, checked into the hotel and now we’re just going to get some sleep. It’s [...] James is at Lego camp this week. He has built a tractor, a merry-go-round and a motorized train. He’s learning about gears and how they interact and how other components work. But I’m glad he’s just having fun. Here’s a pic of him with the train. [...] One of my favorite photos of Ryan right now. This shot was taken by Uncle Michael at James’ birthday party. Oh, one of Ryan’s favorite shows right now is Ni Hao Kai-lan. Here’s a pic from his favorite episode, the Dragon Boat race. Ryan turned 3 a couple of weeks ago. We had a small party this year compared to prior years but it was still fun and Ryan liked it better this way. Since he has turned 3 however, Ryan has been more whiney and has thrown a lot more tantrums. I guess we were lucky that [...] A couple of major milestones for James! 1. James has finished Kindergarten! I can’t believe he’s done with his first year of school already. He had a great year, making lots of new friends, doing a ton of school projects and learning a lot along the way. He has a some camps lined up for [...] Whoa, it’s been almost a whole year between posts! I am not a good blogger. Let’s see, where shall we begin? Ryan is now 2 1/2 years old. His favorite color is currently green (although he also likes pink for some reason). Ryan went through a phase of always carrying the little “Toad” character from [...] James started Kindergarten today!! He did very well during drop off. He hung up his backpack outside, found his seat and sat down with all of the other kids. He also filled in his information sheet, dropped off the school supplies and got his picture taken. He seemed to be doing very well when Lisa [...] One more thing… James is very big San Jose Sharks fan, thanks to yours truly. =) Go Sharks!! |
